The 18th Congress of China’s Communist Party and Russia - China relationship

   The 18th Congress of China Communist Party attracts the attention of not only Chinese people but also international public. The Congress has reviewed its developments, mapping out plans for the future and orientations for China’s foreign policy. One of the Congress’ primary results is the reform of the apparatus of the Party’s top leaders with Xi Jinping being elected as the new General Secretary of the Party. The composition of the Central Politburo of the Communist Party of China also sees momentous changes. In the wake of the Congress come the changes in provincial and municipal leaderships. This article examines and analyses foreign and domestic policies, especially the policy toward and relationship with the Russian Federation after the Congress.
