On strategy and strategic research in diplomacy

The term “strategy” is a military term and only in this domain and in all eras does it convey its full meaning. However, with the changes of eras come the changes in military terms and terms of other domains; and their meanings become broader and penetrate into other domains as well. Hence, diplomacy and international studies can’t help understand, even in the most basic meaning, the concept of strategy and its related issues. What we are writing about strategy here takes root in the book “Introduction to Strategy”, published by Economia, in 1963, in Paris and in French with various editions coming out in 1964, 1985 and 1995. This article analyses strategy and its related concepts and thereby produces explanations on strategic research with much emphasis being placed on strategic research in diplomacy.
