The Francophonie and Power Game.

The recent workshop on “Francophone and Theories of International Relations” held by the Institute for International Relations, provided an avenue for senior officials, diplomats, professors, lecturers and research fellows to discuss the role of Francophone in international relations, its link to IR theories and how the Francophone should work to perform its role. The author of this paper attempts to reexamine the concepts of power and power game, identify those who seize power and their ability, through the exercise of power, to exert influence on international relations as well as the position of Francophone in the power game.
